Why are there so few few female senior partners at the top of big law firms? Part of the reason is the sheer volume of work - balancing career and family isn't really a practical option if you want to make partner - you have to choose.

Many men can make the choice; fewer women are able to. Still, law firms pay lipe service to gender equality. Time to go to that seminar to give a speech on all the worthy programs the firm is implemented. After your associate has stayed late to draft the speech, of course.
